Frontfrau Tarja Turunen sei Dank sind Nightwish nicht nur irgendeine skandinavische Band mit Mädel am Mikro. Die ausgebildete Opernsängerin trägt wesentlich zum Gruppensound bei - und der hat beim 2002 veröffentlichten Album "Century Child" entscheidenden Anteil am Sound der Band. Besonders gelungen ist das Duett "The Phantom Of The Opera", wo der neue Nightwish-Bassist den männlichen Gesangpart übernimmt. In Deutschland gelangte das Album bis auf Platz 5 der Charts - in Finnland (natürlich) bis auf Position 1. jpc
